Biz Manager/Biz Link platform

Setting up and installing EDI on the Biz Manager/Biz Link platform involves defining the server owner, communication, and trading partners.

There are normally 2 instances of Biz Manager installed, one for testing and one for production. It can be accomplished with one instance if you have budget constraints.

Below are examples of the tasks involved in setting up and installing your EDI platform:

The following tasks are to be created for the server owner

  • Create qual/ID identifiers
  • Create communication transports
  • Implement any AS2 certificates specifically for the Server Owner

The following tasks are to be created (for each new trading partner)

  • Create the communications protocol setups
    • This could be AS2 and/or VAN setups
  • Create a trading partner relationship
    • Create qual/ID identifiers
    • Create communication transports
    • Implement any AS2 certificates sent from the trading partner
  • Create the communications protocol setups in Biz Link
    • This could be AS2 and/or VAN setups
